Thrreatened Cat Thursday

African superstition is filled with tales of this cat.

Forests are their main habitat.

Rainforests in the west or in the central Africa are the main places to spot them.

Increasing deforestation is causing an urgent need for a conservation program.

Cameroon and the Congo are two of several countries they're found in.

African Golden Cats' tails are used by Pygmy tribes in Cameroon as good luck charms for hunting.

Nigeria is one of the countries that have banned hunting these animals.

Greyish-brown, dark salty, chestnut, and reddish brown are just some of the colors this cat can be.

Ounce-wise the kittens are 6.3-8.3 ounces.

Lifespan in the wild is unknown.

Deforestation is one reason why they're disappearing.

Extremely reclusive are 2 words to describe this cat.

Night is the main to see them.

Caracals are just one animal they might remind you of.

African Golden Cats are often preyed on by leopards.

Time is running out of their conservation. (Reiteration of this is always needed!)
