Tiger Times
What’s pawin’ everybody? It’s time for your daily dose of the Tiger Times via Siberian Tiger style. Now, wait a ‘big
cat’ moment. You’re saying Siberian Tiger,
but all these humans keep referring to us as Amur Tigers. Well, do you know what this tiger says to
that? Oh well, on Sundays ‘Siberian
Tiger’ fits!
Pawing right along…
What do we Siberian Tigers want to growl
about? Well, we want to dive into
something interesting-politics. No, no,
just relax. One of Trump’s sons didn’t
go hunting (at least not that I know of) and I’m not going to growl out complaints
about Trump. *Gasp* Don’t get this wrong,
any tiger can easily paw out page after page of complaints against this
clown. This Siberian Tiger wants to take
a good look at wildlife, specifically Russia v. America. I want you to take a ‘paws’ and think about
something, specifically in this age of Trump…
Isn’t it funny that it seems like
better news about keeping wildlife safe comes out of Russia and not America? Think about it for a second with this note- neither
country is perfect. Both are cutting
trees down at a record pace, mining a lot, hunting in places that are supposed
to be ‘safe,’ etc. However, note that it
seems like that both countries have good people that work their butts off for
the environment and to protect animals.
But it’s weird that….
In a country (the USA) that demonizes
Russia so much seem to have more negative tales while there are good stories
coming out of Russia. Research it- sure
there aren’t enough Siberian Tigers in the wild but they’re still out there. The WWF even lists the population, as of
today, as ‘stable.’ There are even
better stories that than coming out of Russia too- wild horses that were extinct
from the wild have been reintroduced to Russia. As a matter of fact, a lot of
you humans probably know about the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, and the population
of these horses seem to be growing there.
Amur leopards have seen an increase (slight but it’s still out there)
and a couple of years ago Persian Leopards were even reintroduced to some of
its former territory. As I’ve growled
out- not enough is being done but this tiger really likes hearing the good
stories.
In the meantime, let this tiger growl out
about Trump’s America and to be purr-fectly honest you could say this about
Obama’s America. Positive stories about
protecting any kind of wildlife here are few and far between. The point- even though Russia might not be
doing enough, you can cite examples and here you can’t, at least not off the
top of your head. Negative stories run
wild here about drilling, over-hunting, you name it. So, you might be asking yourself- what’s the
overall point?
Before you start screaming about
Russia being a land of demons, remember the positive stories coming out of there
with regards to us animals. Even though
they may seem like crumbs- at least they’re moving in the right direction. In the great country of America, all we’re
stuck with is a president who wants to ruin the best parts of this nation for
you humans and then jet off for a tropical island.
